Great paintings are closer than you think

It's easy to look at a great painting and think there is some trick or secret about painting that the artist knows that you don't.

This is why I find in-real-time video tutorials so helpful. They show and explain step by step how a painting is built so you can understand the process and not think of a great painting as some sort of magic trick.

Tutorials are not just for copying either. When you have access to over 200 tutorials you can use them as a reference for how to solve problems in your own work.

The problem with most painting tutorials

Imagine how hard it would have been to learn how to tie your shoes if every day you had a different person teaching you a different way to do it.

The main thing that separates these tutorials from other subscription painting sites is that all of the tutorials are done by one painter. Nothing is more confusing for a new painter than having a different teacher with different materials and a different process for every tutorial.

Being able to talk and teach while you paint is a skill in itself. I have seen masterful painters film horrible tutorials because they couldn't explain what they were doing and why. This is a skill I have developed through filming hundreds of instructional painting videos.
